HSBC asked us to create a film to celebrate ‘160 Years Of Opening Up A World Of Opportunity’.
So we came up with ‘The Living Timeline’. A captivating infinity space with the visual impact of a world-class museum, filled with hundreds of floating frames containing HSBC’s most important historical images, that would act as portals to take us on a journey through their 160 year history. Our director, Prakash Nathan, worked closely with AI Artists and a VFX team to breathe life into each of these snippets of history.
HSBC’s archive is an incredible place; an enormous warehouse filled with hundreds of thousands of amazing paintings, newspapers, banknotes, objects and books dating all the way back to the 1800s.
The lady in the film is their Head Archivist, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of every piece of it.
